Witness or Jury Duty Regulation:
The Board recognizes the importance of the jury system in a democracy and the obligation of all citizens to serve as jurors under appropriate circumstances. Employees shall be excused for jury duty with no jeopardy to their employment or compensation. Substitutes, when necessary, shall be paid by the district. Any compensation for jury and/or witness duty received by an employee shall be endorsed to the District if the employee was compensated for the District for that time. Employee cannot be paid twice for the same hour.
